In 1992, Christopher Caliendo became the first American composer ever commissioned by the Vatican for the prestigious Encounters of Sacred Contemporary Music Festival held in Rome, Italy. Now, after eight years of research, composing, and orchestrating, Christopher has completed his spiritual oratorio based on the initial Vatican commission. The Mystic Saints, a four-part musical drama based on the poetry and personal letters of the mystics - Saint John of the Cross, Saint Teresa of Avila, Saint Clare of Assisi and Saint Francis of Assisi, is now available for production.
